Jenny + Jonathan Wedding - Old Lyme, CT

A few weeks ago I had the enormous privilege of photographing my best friends wedding!

Just like she had always dreamed, it was a small intimate weekend affair at a bed and breakfast by the water.  Jonathan and Jennifer chose to get married at the lovely Bee and Thistle Inn in Old Lyme, Connecticut.  The setting was breathtaking, the inn was charming and the food was delicious!  More extraordinary than anything however, was the love in the air between these two and the joy of their families as they came together to celebrate this wonderful event.

Jenny, you are radiant!!

I never saw a more beautiful "aisle" for a bride to walk down...

A big thanks to Justice of the Peace, Carol Schweitzer-Schilling, who conducted the ceremony in such a beautiful and loving way.

I of course had to sneak in one of us together as well!

Ahhh, the first dance!!  I die!!

Jenn and Jonathan, thanks so much for letting Derek and I be a part of your amazing and magical wedding weekend!  I loved every minute of it and I love you both very much!!
XOXOXO,
Jess

Millie and Minerva - Fourth of July Wedding

I still remember the first time I spoke with Millie and Minerva on the phone as they were looking to hire a wedding photographer for their July 4th wedding.  Their personalities are so charismatic that I couldn't help but be drawn to their energy.  I'm so honored that they chose me for their special day.  The beauty of their love radiates in such a way that you can't help but feel privileged and all giddy inside to be allowed to witness it.

Millie and Minerva have been together for 30 years and were now so excited to be able to make their union "official"!  When we met in person, I remember watching as Minerva and Millie looked at each other, finished each other's sentences and just beamed with joy as they told me the story of how Minerva proposed to Millie with a day full of surprises and by having their family involved. I felt like I couldn't wait to be a part of it all in some small way.

Minerva wanted to gift Millie with live fireworks on their wedding day and so they decided to get married on board Yacht Lady Windridge surrounded by their loved ones as we watched the Macy's Fourth of July fireworks.  It was amazing!

A special thanks to Nancee from Yachts For All Seasons for your professionalism and help with coordinating and running everything so smoothly.  Also, a huge thanks to DJ Bentley and DJ Legend from Premier Music Entertainment - you always do such an amazing job and get the party going!

And because pictures speak louder than words, here are some of the night's highlights:
